Handwritten text on lined paper reads, "Is it a good time or bad time to be a high school graduate?" in dark ink.

Is it a good time or bad time to be a high school graduate?

The graduating class of 2026 has a much more challenging future than possibly any class before them.

Do I go to college? Should I attend a trade school? Should I just get a job? AI will continue to be developed. What does this mean as far as careers go?

I want to change the world! I want to make a difference! I want to help people! I want to make a living! I want to pull my hair out!

Back to the question:

Is it a good time or a bad time to be a high school graduate?

The answer is YES and YES.

Why is it a good time?

First of all, you're the first generation to grow up in the iPhone era (first released in 2007), you're not scared of technology, just the opposite, you embrace it. You are the perfect class to not only understand but help mold it to Change the World, to Make a Difference, to Help People and Make a Living.

Why is this a bad time?

The world is not ready for you yet. Well, maybe the world is but the people running it aren't. They're worried about losing their jobs. They're worried about making a living. They're worried that they may have to learn new skills. They're pulling their hair out.

Conclusion:

This happens every spring.
